a4 has a lot of talented and dedicated employees. To further get to know our staff, we are asking them some questions about their life in and out of work. This is “a4 Asks.”
Today we speak with Wael Sabra, VP of Product at a4. Wael is responsible for all of a4’s unique products and technology. He is based in the Long Island City, N.Y., headquarters. Here he talks about his interesting hobbies and the importance of effective advertising:
Question: How long have you worked for a4 and what is your favorite thing about your job?
Answer: I have worked here for 4 years. My favorite thing about the job is working within an environment that constantly challenges the status quo.
Q: Tell us something not many people know about you?
A: I always wanted to be a pilot.
Q: What are your hobbies?
A: I follow Formula One, play basketball and enjoy long hikes.
Q: Why do you think effective advertising is so important?
A: I always think as if I am the owner of a business. As a business owner, effective advertising is a no-brainer. We, as an industry, have taken the human experience out of advertising. We make it about us, the publisher, the agency, the tech, but it should be about the marketer and the advertiser. Therefore, for me, effective advertising is no different than transparent, clear advertising. It’s something that every advertiser expects.
Q: What is your greatest accomplishment?
A: Getting a team that is as excited about Athena as I am. Without this excitement and passion the team couldn’t have launched the product for a4.
